December 2021: Warm and Cozy
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for December 2021: Warm and Cozy with the It’s a Choco-lot earrings inspired by hot chocolate.
Warm browns swirl with creamy whites, like chocolate mixing with hot milk (of your choice) to make a comforting, sweet cup of hot chocolate. Gold glints from top to bottom in the form of textured rings, bubble bead caps, and flashy paddle drops. Little beads of white top the hot chocolate beads, like marshmallows or whipped cream (with an iridescent coating). Wear these earrings while you’re sitting in front of flickering firelight, or curled up, surrounded by fairy lights, drinking a cup of hot cocoa — or, at least, imagine yourself there!
Each pair will be unique due to the swirls of brown and white being unique to each bead. I will, as always, match the beads in each pair as best I can.

Inspired by watching my brothers play Ocarina of Time, and getting their help with the scary parts.
Black sliced through with glinting gold, a metaphor for a deep, dark temple lit by a warrior of hope. Put this bracelet on and step into another time, another world – a world of heroes.

October 2021: Monsters and Mythical Creatures
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for October 2021: Monsters and Mythical Creatures with the “Selkie’s Song” bracelet inspired by selkies and Song of the Sea.
Blue somewhere between cobalt and indigo, flashing with iridescence; silver rippled like waves and shaped a bit like seals. A bracelet for a little selkie girl, running to the sea.
The links are textured on one side and smooth on the other; they alternate directions so that no matter which way the bracelet turns on your wrist, several of the links will have the ripple texture showing. Please note that the blue beads have highlights of iridescence; the iridescent coating does not cover the entire bead.
Approx. 6.75” long on the first jump ring; fastens up to approx. 8.625”. If your wrist is smaller than 6.75”, the bracelet can be clasped on the open links.

September 2021: Trick or Treat
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for September 2021: Trick or Treat with the “Pumpkin Spice” charms inspired by pumpkins.
A charming, silver pumpkin, set off with sparkling, deep green goldstone and a pop of bright green. Floral touches of silver set off the green and act as vines for the pumpkin (at least, I think so). You can wear this on a necklace as a pendant, or attach it to a purse, keychain, or zipper – wherever the clasp fits!
Approx. 1.5” long, including the clasp.
Please note that I do not recommend putting this on a pet’s collar; glass and wire are relatively delicate.

August 2021: The Four Elements
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for August 2021: The Four Elements with the “That’s Rough, Buddy” earrings inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Water. Earth. Fire. Air. These blue, green, red, and yellow earrings represent all four nations of the Avatar world. The top glass beads comprise clear yellow, orange, and red, topped with opaque patina green; the bottom glass beads are a mixture of clear yellow and opaque bright blue, with patina green swirls and red cores. Copper finishes and ties together these earrings.

Stunning aura quartz features in the pendant of these necklaces, dyed in a bright, L.F.esque rainbow – aqua to green to yellow to orange to pink, from top to tip – and coated in iridescent titanium for an extra kiss of rainbow. These vivid crystals hang from silver-plated crescent moons to bring in the alien and celestial theme of the inspiration art.

AgAuCu withdrew from Polish Pickup for June 2021: Over the Rainbow due to supply issues. The item withdrawn was a pair of earrings inspired by Princess Ozma; these earrings became available on agaucu.com in September 2021, instead.
May 2021: Guilty Pleasures
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for May 2021: Guilty Pleasures with the “Crystal Garden” necklace inspired by crystals and rocks.
Obsessed with crystals, have them on every available surface? Been collecting rocks since you were a kid? Same! The Crystal Garden necklace features a matte cylinder of prehnite, a very pretty addition to any crystal collection, framed by antiqued and shiny copper. You’ll also receive a piece of raw black tourmaline.
Every piece of prehnite is different, from bright, light green to deep, forest green; please look through the photos to see the variety of these crystals. Additionally, every crystal has needles of black tourmaline in varying density; the tourmaline needles are the black, straight lines that are sometimes dense enough to be a black spot. Some pieces also contain dark, grassy green, cube-like and/or moss-like spots of epidote.

March 2021: Birds and Butterflies
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for March 2021: Birds and Butterflies with “The Most Beautiful Moth” earrings inspired by the Madagascan sunset moth from Animal Crossing.
"The Madagascan sunset moth is said to be the most beautiful moth in the world....” Shimmering glass pillows in hues of green, blue, and warm neutrals are the focus of these earrings; they are framed by matte, peridot-green beads and luminescent orange beads. Scale-textured drops (for the scales that cover moth wings) flutter below, like the tails on the moth’s wings. These colorful earrings are set in silver to mimic the wings’ white edges.
The shimmer in these beads is like the shimmer in pulled taffy or selenite, soft and glowing. The main beads vary (see photos) in pattern and color, and I will match them as best as I can. Some beads are shot through with brown, some with black; all are primarily green and blue.

January 2021: Birthstones, Minerals, and Gems
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for January 2021: Birthstones, Minerals, and Gems with the “Ritual” bracelet inspired by labradorite.
The Ritual bracelet is inspired by the stunning, rainbow-shifting gem, labradorite. Each bracelet features 6 faceted rondelles of labradorite — 5 on the top, and 1 to finish the chain. Each gem is a shade of transparent grey with black flecking; the predominant color flash is blue-green, though some pieces flash green-gold, and if you’re very lucky, you may get a piece that flashes blue-purple.
I designed this bracelet to be sleek and minimal, so the labradorite is the star. The black gunmetal chain and finishings really set off the sparkling gems, complementing the black flecks without outshining the labradorescent flashes.
This bracelet clasps anywhere up to approx. 7.75”, as you secure the clasp to the chain itself. The piece of labradorite on the end of the chain serves not just as a finishing touch — grab it to help clasp the bracelet one-handed.

October 2020: Animation
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for October 2020: Animation with the “I’m Just Your Problem” earrings inspired by Princess Bubblegum and Marceline the Vampire Queen from Adventure Time.
Two pairs of earrings, designed to represent a little of Bubblegum and Marceline in each. One pair features triangular cut rose quartz, framed by black metal and topped with pearly grey glass; these are a more minimal, touched with punk – pink for Bubblegum, while the style and black and grey are for Marceline. The other pair features star cut black onyx, framed all in gold and topped with bright red glass; these are more elegant, but a dark palette – black and red for Marceline, style for Bubblegum, and gold for Bubblegum’s crown.
As always with natural stones, the rose quartz earrings will vary naturally. They are all light pink with some amount of white marbling, and I will do my best to match stones. The tips of the triangles also vary in sharpness, so the bead of gunmetal at the bottom of the earrings will sit differently on every pair.

What lies within this absinthe green glass, framed in gold? Arsenic, hemlock, cyanide? A mysterious brew given to you by the old woman who lives in a cottage in the woods? It’s up to you… pick your poison.

August 2020: Weird Science
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for August 2020: Weird Science with the “And Now, the Weather” necklace inspired by Welcome to Night Vale.
What if you could pull down a piece of the sky? What if it were a shiny, vibrant piece of crystal? Do you ever think about the moon? And do you know that this necklace is made in a remote corner of the desert? Something to think about, listeners. Or, maybe, to not think about, and instead, listen to… Welcome to Night Vale.
The “And Now, the Weather” necklace features a bead of purple agate and a stainless steel, crescent moon, hanging from a stainless steel chain. All metal is stainless steel, except the bead caps on the agate, which are silver-plated, lead-free pewter. Each agate bead will vary naturally in both color and pattern, and I’ve laid out a good representation of the range of both in these photos.

July 2020: Rewind on AgAuCu
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for July 2020: Rewind with the “Cursed the Messenger” earrings 2.0 inspired by the myth of Coronis and Apollo.
The gist is Coronis was Apollo’s lover, but betrayed him (a running theme in Apollo’s love life). Apollo had charged a corvid (of some kind) with watching over Coronis while Apollo was away; when the corvid tells Apollo of the betrayal, Apollo curses him and turns his feathers from white to black, which is why all crows, ravens, etc. are black.
These were originally offered only in white and black to echo the transition from white to black, but now you can choose from asymmetrical, all-black, or all-white!
Made with tourmalinated quartz (the little beads), howlite (the top white bead), Czech glass (the top black bead), silver, and surgical steel hooks.

Back from the depths - I mean, October 2019: Urban Legends! These necklaces are slightly different from, but nearly identical to, 2019's version.
A turquoise and bronze octopus, offset with vivid red, patina-mottled beads. We are haunted by the fragments of Cthulhu’s dreams, reaching into the world… creatures from deep waters, though they are but echoes of the Dreamer.

June 2020: Cocktails & Mocktails
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for June 2020: Cocktails & Mocktails with the “Gin & Tonic” earrings inspired by gin and tonics.
Gin bottle blue and citrus green beads glow and flash in these tassel-style earrings inspired by the classic gin and tonic cocktail. These are finished with bubble heishi in sparkling silver, and a dash of juniper berry blue beads. Clearly, a particular brand of gin influenced the color scheme, along with a heavy green influence thanks to my personal preference for a lot of lime in my g&ts. I hope you find these earrings as delightfully refreshing as a cold glass of gin and tonic!
The main blue beads are made of glass hemispheres that have been coated in two iridescent finishes, then fused together for a lit-from-within effect. The glow flashes through the rainbow with movement. The medium size blue beads are also coated with an iridescent finish, and the green beads on the head of the tassel are quartz that has been treated to be a lime green.

May 2020: Candy Land
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for May 2020: Candy Land with the “Sugar Crystals” earrings inspired by rock candy.
Inedible candy! What could be better? Edible candy? Well, yes, but these earrings will never melt, nor disappear because you ate them. I hope. Please don’t eat them. These sparkling slices of quartz agate, hung on gold “sticks,” are protected by tiny glass beads on top and bottom. The many, many facets will twinkle in any light.
Please remember that these are natural crystal, and need to be treated with care to prevent breaking.
Every pair is totally unique, but the crystals are as well matched as I can manage. All earrings are, including the hooks, longer than 1” but shorter than 1.5”. The hooks are hypoallergenic, surgical steel.

March 2020: Ancient History
AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for March 2020: Ancient History with the “Anoxic Depths” necklace inspired by ancient Black Sea shipwrecks.
Inspired by ancient Black Sea shipwrecks, particularly "the world's oldest intact shipwreck," a 2,400+-year-old, Greek merchant vessel. Color inspiration from "The Black Sea at night" by Ivan Aivazovsky.
Little treasures pulled from the dark depths of the Black Sea, where an ancient ship awaits explorers to raise it from the dead. Vibrant greens and aged copper charms, reminiscent of an ancient nautilus, an urchin, and structural spikes.
The color, texture, and amount of patina vary naturally on all the pieces of the pendant – some will lean bluer, some greener; some will be almost entirely patina, some mostly copper; some will be brighter copper, some darker. Additionally, the shape of each piece varies slightly. However, any differences are slight, and make your piece unique to you!
All parts of the pendant are two-sided, so you can easily flip this to have the nautilus go the other way, and never have to worry about putting it on the “right” way.
The chain is approx. 30.875” long, and you can clasp the necklace anywhere along the chain to wear it shorter. The pendant is approx. 2” long.

Dainty silver, white, and red earrings fit for woodland sisters, Snow-White and Rose-Red. These feature carved pyrite roses, soft-white beads with a mercury glaze, and vivid red beads with gold marbling.

Snow-White and Rose-Red is the story of two sisters who overcome a nasty dwarf and rescue a prince cursed to be a bear. Their mother grows two rose bushes – one with white roses, one with red, after which she names her daughters. When Snow-White marries the prince and Rose-Red marries his brother, the mother “took the two rose-trees with her, and they stood before her window, and every year bore the most beautiful roses, white and red.”

AgAuCu joined Polish Pickup for September 2019: Magic & Alchemy with the “Celestial Alchemy” bracelet, inspired by the alchemical symbols for silver (Ag, the moon) and gold (Au, the sun).
This will fit from 6.5” - 8”.
This bracelet features a satin-finish 14K Hamilton gold-plated chain, shiny 22K gold-plated suns, and antiqued silver crescent moons. Hamilton gold is an alloy of gold and brass, named for the Hamilton gold watches of the ’60s and ’70s – a softer shade of gold. The base metals in this bracelet are silver and lead-free pewter.

This necklace features fern green aventurine and a small, intricate shell, hanging on an antique gold chain, accented with bits of bright and antique gold, and complemented with marbled green and brown Czech glass.

AgAuCu joined The Indie Pickup for October 2018 2019: Villains with "The Golden Queen" earrings, inspired by Galaxia from Sailor Moon.
These earrings feature red, rainbow quartz with a golden sheen, golden details, and blood red drops. I have always wanted to make earrings based on Galaxia's, so I'm so excited for this opportunity!
Please keep in mind that the crystals vary naturally, but I've done my best to choose similar and matching pairs. The earrings will all be about 3" long.
